A superb Italian cellist, Sylvia Chiesa, plays popular Tchaikovsky and a fine Concerto by her famous film composer compatriot, Nino Rota. She’s framed by two of the greatest French impressionist masterpieces, with Ravel’s sparkling vision of Imperial Vienna, La Valse, and Debussy’s intoxicating set of orchestral seascapes, La Mer.
