Soloist -  Peter Moore (Trombone)

Conductor: Brian Wright
 Haydn – Symphony No.100 “Military”
Ferdinand David – Trombone Concertino
Dvorak – Slavonic Dances, Op.46
14-year-old trombonist Peter Moore is the current BBC Young Musician, and he’s chosen to play a delightful early-romantic work for us. Unusually for Haydn, his Military Symphony features an array of percussion instruments, while Dvorak’s quasi-symphonic set of eight Slavonic Dances have an irresistible charm and panache
