Had the same programme been played by the worlds top orchestra it would have impressed me no more profoundly. Seeing such music played by so many familiar faces made it an evening never to forget Crescendo February 2009

The string sound is clear and incisive, the brass impeccably tuned and
the percussion have that clockwork sense of timing which always leaves me
