Children’s Piano Master Class by Maestro Maurizio Baglini

Maidstone Orchestral Society (MOS) and Kent Music are thrilled to be organising a Piano Master Class run by International Soloist Maurizio Baglini. If you would like to attend the Master Class, please download and complete this form.
Three lucky children will be invited by Maurizio to take part in the Master Class. If selected, you will be notified during the second week of May 2010 and given further information then. This event is primarily aimed at children aged 9-13, but of course we would welcome any who feel they would benefit from the experience. Places are £5 per child, any accompanying adult is free. All children attending the Master Class are invited to the concert of Maidstone Symphony Orchestra that evening for free and may bring one adult paying only half price for their ticket (subject to availability). Tickets for the evening concert will be allocated on the day of the Master Class and payment by cheque or cash must be made then.
The afternoon is aimed primarily at 9-13 year olds, but of course all are welcome who feel they would benefit. Maurizio will invite three lucky children to take part in the afternoon and perform at the Master Class under his close supervision. We would stress that we are not looking only for children of exceptional ability to perform, (although that would indeed be wonderful to hear!), as long as the children play confidently at their level. The timetable for the afternoon is
approximately as below:-
2.15pm Registration
2.30pm Introduction of Maurizio by Alexandra;
Maurizio will play and chat for a few minutes
2.45pm First student
3.00pm Second student
3.15pm Break for refreshments
3.35pm Third student
3.50pm Closing play by Maurizio
4.00pm Afternoon ends
Places for children cost £5 (to include light refreshments during the
interval) parents / guardians are welcome to stay for the afternoon at
no extra cost.
