We start the season with three pieces from Armenian composer, Khachaturian's ballet "Gayane", including his famous "Sabre Dance". We're also featuring orchestral works by Rimsky-Korsakov, Richard Strauss, Roussel, Elgar, Nielsen, Dvorak, Mahler, Borodin and Tchaikovsky plus, the haunting "Adagio for strings" by Samuel Barber. |
